Fate/strange Fake: Whispers of Dawn Review

Fate/strange Fake: Whispers of Dawn Review

The Start of a Fake Holy Grail War

Fate/strange Fake: Whispers of Dawn is the prologue to the upcoming Fate/strange Fake anime. When is the full series coming out? I don’t know. I thought it was supposed to be later this year. But, when I checked it still has no release date.

What’s Fate/strange Fake about, though? What’s the twist of this series? If you’re familiar with Fate, you’ll probably know that every series has its own twist. There’s literally never just a normal Holy Grail War. There’s always something unique about it or the rules get broken in some way.

The unique thing about Fate/strange Fake is right there in the title. This is a fake Holy Grail War. What that means is that it’s manmade. It’s a manufactured Holy Grail War. But, how does that work? And, why would anyone want to do that?

An unnamed woman from the anime special Fate/strange Fake: Whispers of Dawn
An unnamed woman

To answer the first question: Magic. To answer the second question: The United States. This fake Holy Grail War is taking place somewhere in the Western US in a city called Snowfield. While there are cities called Snowfield in the US. This appears to be a generic city, not based on any one real-life location.

Now, the US is a pretty young nation. And, as such, the mages of the world tend not to view it as highly as other nations. The US doesn’t have the same history of magic that other parts of the world do — according to the British mages.

So, a group of mages in the US decided they’d prove their worth by manufacturing a Holy Grail War. They wanted to make a real one. But, that turned out to be too difficult. They could only manage to generate six servants, not seven. There’s no Saber in this Holy Grail War.

Meet the Servants

Gilgamesh is the first servant we see get summoned. I love Gilgamesh. Most Fate fans love Gilgamesh. Gilgamesh is great and makes anything he’s in better. He’s the Archer class servant of this Holy Grail War and his master is Tine Chelc.

The last servant we see get summoned is Enkidu, the Lancer class servant. Enkidu’s master is a dog, which kind of makes sense if you know what Enkidu is all about (nature). I’ll get into this more in the next section, but Enkidu and Gilgamesh are best friends.

Jack the Ripper is the Berserker class servant summoned to Flatt Escardos. If you know about other Fate series, you’ll notice this isn’t the Jack the Ripper we’re used to. Usually, Jack is a young girl in the Assassin class. This servant is the representation of the mystery and chaos of Jack.

Gilgamesh and Tine from the anime special Fate/strange Fake: Whispers of Dawn
Gilgamesh and Tine

The Caster class servant is one that we don’t have a name for. He was summoned to Orlando Reeve and we know he’s a writer. The only other thing we know about him is that he refers to himself as a hero-maker. I don’t know who he is.

Assassin class servants are kind of weird. Technically, they’re always supposed to be one of the Hassans (the True Assassins). But, that often doesn’t end up being the case. This time, however, it seems like it is the case. This female assassin doesn’t wear a skull mask like the Hassans. But, she uses the Zabaniya Noble Phantasm, which implies she is one of them.

Finally, we have the Rider class servant who also wasn’t named and doesn’t seem to have a physical form. Enkidu also mentions that this servant is their natural enemy and represents plague. So, I’m pretty confident in saying it’s the Pale Horseman.

Gilgamesh and Enkidu

Let’s talk about the boys — everyone’s favorite best friend duo, Gilgamesh and Enkidu. If you’ve played Fate/Grand Order or if you’ve watched the FGO: Babylonia anime, you should know about these two. They both come from the Epic of Gilgamesh, which was written over 4,000 years ago.

Many Fate fans know Gilgamesh as the “King of Heroes,” which alludes to him being the first hero we know of. The Epic of Gilgamesh is literally the first story we have evidence of about a hero. And, I would recommend everyone read it. It’s pretty short.

As you probably know, Gilgamesh is the protagonist of the Epic of Gilgamesh. He was the King of Uruk. But, what about Enkidu? Enkidu was a wild man created by the gods to be Gilgamesh’s equal. He was supposed to prevent Gilgamesh from terrorizing the citizens. However, he ended up becoming Gilgamesh’s best friend and adopted brother.

Enkidu fighting Gilgamesh from the anime special Fate/strange Fake: Whispers of Dawn
Enkidu fighting Gilgamesh

Now, I’m going to have to spoil part of this 4,000+ year story. Remember how Enkidu said that the Rider servant was his natural enemy? That doesn’t mean Rider is from the Epic of Gilgamesh. The only two other Fate servants in the Epic are Ishtar and Ereshkigal.

So, what did Enkidu mean here? Well, because Gilgamesh and Enkidu kept killing the pets of the gods, the gods decided to kill one of them. That one was Enkidu, whom the gods punished by inflicting him with disease.

This is why Enkidu says that the Rider who represents disease and plague is his “natural enemy.” And, what rider can you think of that represents disease and plague? The Pale (or sometimes White) Horseman of the Apocalypse. I think this is the Pale Horseman, though, because of its lack of a physical form.

Final Thoughts

Overall, I rated Fate/strange Fake: Whispers of Dawn an 8/10. I thought it was very good and I can’t wait for the full series to come out. It has some great characters in Gilgamesh and Enkidu. And, it had good animation. I’m looking forward to how this fake Holy Grail War plays out.

I Want You To Show Me Your Panties With a Disgusted Face Review

I Want You To Show Me Your Panties With a Disgusted Face Review

Intro to IyaPan

I Want You To Show Me Your Panties With a Disgusted Face (Iya na Kao sare nagara Opantsu Misete Moraitai / 嫌な顔されながらおパンツ見せてもらいたい), known as IyaPan, is a short-form ecchi anime. Just by reading the title, you should be able to figure out what this series is all about.

The series has 6 episodes that are each about 4 minutes long. So, you can watch the entire first season in the time it would take to watch a normal anime episode. And, each episode focuses on a different girl. In this review, I’ll be going through the series girl by girl in no particular order and giving my rating of each one.

Chitose Itou – The Maid

Chitose Itou is the viewer’s maid. Up until the events of this episode, she was a normal maid who had a good relationship with her employer — the viewer. However, that all changed when the viewer asked her to show him her panties.

What I liked about this episode is how it started off with the request and Chitose’s disgust. Then, it went back and showed how different Chitose’s demeanor was before the request. And, finally, we got the payoff of Chitose lifting her dress to reveal her panties.

Of the six girls, Chitose is probably my favorite. Her disgust with the viewer is the most visceral, which is an important factor. I’m going to give her a 10/10 — I want her to show me her panties while making a disgusted face again.

Yuina – The Idol

Yuina is an idol whose number one fan is the viewer. The viewer was one of Yuina’s first fans and is now the president of her fan club. So, in this episode, Yuina invites the viewer backstage after one of her shows to give him a birthday present. She’ll do something he requests.

Naturally, his request is for Yuina to show him her panties — and he doesn’t mean her show panties. When on stage, Yuina wears a second pair of show panties over her real panties. So, the viewer wants her to take those off and show him the real things, which she does.

I thought Yuina was going to be my favorite girl because she’s an idol. But, she actually turned out to be my least favorite. We got a nice scene of her pulling down her show panties. However, once you know they’re not her real panties, it’s not exciting. She gets a 6/10.

Misuzu Tanahashi – The Nurse

Misuzu Tanahashi is a nurse taking care of the viewer after he breaks his legs. She’s a fan of puzzles, so she brings the viewer a puzzle to keep him from getting bored in the hospital. And, she says that if he can finish it by lunch, she’ll give him a reward.

Now, if you watch this episode on AniWave, it’s completely different. For some reason, AniWave has a joke fansub up for this episode and it changes everything. The setting is different, Misuzu’s personality is different, and a lot of it doesn’t make sense. The subs are all wrong.

Going by the real subtitles, Misuzu is a high-tier girl in the series. Her swap from nice to disgusted is almost on par with Chitose’s. And, she’s voiced by Aoi Koga, who you may know as Kaguya Shinomiya. I give Misuzu a 9/10.

Maria Takayama – The Nun

Maria Takayama is a sister at a church. That setting alone makes her episode one of the spicier ones. However, her disgust with the viewer isn’t as extreme as I’d hoped it would be. Yes, she’s disgusted by his request. But, she doesn’t put up much resistance.

The framing of this request is that the viewer’s soul will be saved if only Maria shows him her panties. So, despite not wanting to show him and knowing it’s morally wrong of her, she does so. If it’s to save someone’s soul, then it’s her duty as a nun.

I’m going to give Maria an 8/10. She’s cute and the setting is good. But, if she had been more verbally abusive toward the viewer, she could have scored a 10. She was a bit too forgiving and accommodating of the viewer’s request.

Airi Sega – The Classmate

Airi Sega, like Yuina, is another girl I thought I’d like a lot more than I did. The classmate is a good scenario. However, with Airi, there’s way too much leadup to the part where she shows the viewer her panties.

She keeps on showing just a small portion of them. I get that it’s supposed to be teasing the viewer so they want more. But, it didn’t work. I wasn’t seeing that and looking forward to the full reveal. Instead, every time we got a glimpse, it made me think, “Is this it?”

In the end, we do get the full reveal, but by then I was kind of tired of her. I’m going to give her a 7/10. If there was less teasing, she would have scored higher. And, despite the setting being good, it was also pretty generic.

Iori Izumo – The Shrine Maiden

The final girl to talk about is Iori Izumo, the shrine maiden. But wait, she’s not only a shrine maiden. She’s also the viewer’s childhood friend. That’s right, we’re double dipping with this one! Though, the fact that she’s the viewer’s childhood friend doesn’t really matter.

So, in this episode, Iori mentions how when they were younger, the viewer said they liked shrine maidens. She then asks if there was a particular reason for this. It’s implied that the viewer says he likes shrine maidens because of her and he then asks to see her panties.

Now, Iori is a pretty good girl. I’m giving her a 7/10. But, again, the fact that she’s the viewer’s childhood friend didn’t actually matter. And, other than her outfit, the fact that she’s a shrine maiden didn’t matter, either. It’s not like with Chitose, Maria, or Misuzu where the setting mattered just as much as the clothes they wore.

Final Thoughts

Overall, I Want You To Show Me Your Panties With a Disgusted Face is a 7/10. It delivers on what the title promises. Could it have delivered on it better by including more ecchi content? Sure. But, I can’t really complain about what I got — only that I didn’t get enough.

Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 2 Part 2 Episode 14 Review

Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 2 Part 2 Episode 14 Review

Rudeus’s Secret Life

Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 2 Part 2 Episode 14 was another alright episode. The previous episode was fine, and this episode was fine too. It wasn’t anything special. It felt like so little happened that I was originally going to dedicate this first section of the review to the new OP.

Maybe in a later review, I’ll discuss the OP. But, for this review, I thought of something else. During the wedding ceremony, Sylphiette asked Nanahoshi what she meant when she said that she and Rudeus were from the same place.

Obviously, Nanahoshi saying that wasn’t going to make sense to Sylphiette. Sylphiette knew Rudeus as a child. She knows Rudeus’s parents, Paul and Zenith Greyrat. And, she knows that Rudeus was born to them in Fittoa. So, what could Nanahoshi have meant?

Sylphiette and Rudeus in the bath from the anime series Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 2 Part 2 Episode 14
Sylphiette and Rudeus in the bath

Well, Nanahoshi deflects Sylphiette’s question. She says that she thought Rudeus was from the same place as her because he speaks her language. With that, she’s trying to imply to Sylphiette that she was wrong about Rudeus. That he’s not actually from where she’s from. And, that could be believable considering Rudeus knows multiple languages.

However, it made me think more about this secret Rudeus is hiding from everyone. As far as I can remember, Nanahoshi is the only one who knows Rudeus comes from another world. He didn’t tell Sylphiette, Eris, Roxy, or even Ruijerd.

Some people, like Orsted, know there’s something different about Rudeus. When Rudeus brought up the name of the Man-God, Orsted asked what Rudeus knew about him. But, that’s as close as anyone’s come to learning Rudeus’s secret.

So, do you think he’ll ever tell Sylphiette? It doesn’t matter. He’s not planning on returning to his old world. But, shouldn’t she know?

Grandma Elinalise

The reveal that Elinalise is Sylphiette’s grandmother wasn’t a surprise, for me. I had that little piece of information spoiled for me a while back. I don’t remember how. But, I’ve known that was the case at least since the first half of this season.

Let’s talk about it, though. Why does it matter if Elinalise is Sylphiette’s grandmother? Well, the simple answer is that it doesn’t matter. Elinalise’s condition is a curse. It’s not something that’s passed down her bloodline. So, no, Sylphiette doesn’t require constant sex to survive.

However, if she did, I’m not so sure that would be a dealbreaker for Rudeus. He’d just want to be the person she has sex with every day. As long as that was the case, he’d probably have no issue with his wife having a curse like that.

Elinalise crying while congratulating Sylphiette from the anime series Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 2 Part 2 Episode 14
Elinalise crying while congratulating Sylphiette

The one way in which this fact could matter is if other elves find out. Did you ever wonder why Sylphiette and her parents moved to the town in Fittoa where Rudeus lived? I didn’t. But, we now know why. They were chased out of the Great Forest because of their connection to Elinalise.

Sylphiette even mentions that her father had trouble marrying because he was Elinalise’s son. So, from all this, we can assume that the other elves don’t look fondly upon Elinalise. If they found out Sylphiette was Elinalise’s granddaughter, they’d most likely shun her, as well. That’s the only real way in which this could matter.

Will Rudeus and Sylphiette ever go to the Great Forest? I don’t know. Will they ever run into other elves Sylphiette isn’t related to? I don’t know that, either. But, at least this hints at how the other elves may react if those things ever do happen.

Greyrat Family Duel

Toward the end of Episode 2, Princess Ariel insists that Rudeus have a duel against Luke. The purpose of this duel seems to be for them to ensure that Rudeus is strong enough to protect Sylphiette. Though, neither Luke nor Ariel states this.

I like the action scenes in Mushoku Tensei. The animators always do a great job. But, I wish this duel lasted a bit longer. Yes, it was pretty satisfying to see Rudeus dispatch Luke so quickly. However, I’d have liked it if he spent more time showing off his skills.

The fact that Rudeus could beat Luke is impressive, though. Remember, Rudeus is a mage. Mages don’t typically fight with swords — they fight with magic. Luke isn’t a mage — he’s a knight. So, Rudeus defeated Luke in his own domain. And, that’s after Rudeus previously showed everyone at the university his magic skill.

Rudeus defeating Luke in a duel from the anime series Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 2 Part 2 Episode 14
Rudeus defeating Luke in a duel

Rudeus is a powerful enough mage that he was able to “harm” the Demon King Badigadi. Any mage of this caliber wouldn’t be expected to also be skilled at sword fighting. But, as we know, Rudeus isn’t a normal person.

Something to keep in mind, though, is that his skill with a sword is mostly authentic. He has his demon eye, which allows him to see a little into the future. That’s going to make a difference — if he uses it, which we have no proof that he did here. But, other than that, he trained to get this good with a sword.

His skills are the result of training with Eris and Ruijerd while traversing across the demon continent. He’s one of the few people at the University who we know has adventurer experience. Considering all that, it’s no wonder he’s the “Boss.”

Final Thoughts

What do you think of Mushoku Tensei Season 2 Episode 14? When, if ever, do you think Sylphiette will learn about Rudeus’s previous life? Are you expecting Sylphiette’s relation to Elinalise to ever come up again? And, were you satisfied with the duel between Rudeus and Luke?

Which Monogatari Girls Could I Beat in a Fistfight?

Which Monogatari Girls Could I Beat in a Fistfight?

Rules of the Fight

How many of the Monogatari girls do you think you could beat in a fistfight? I know, this is a question we’ve all asked ourselves at one point or another. And, if you’re like me, you’ve asked yourself this question many times.

Well, in this article, I’m going to break down which girls I think I could beat in a fistfight and why. But, before I get to that, I need to go over the rules of the fight.

There’s really only one rule, and that’s that it’s a “fistfight.” There are no weapons allowed. This means that, no, Hitagi can’t gut me like a fish with a box cutter. But, anything else goes as long as it’s using your body. Fists, feet, teeth, that’s all fair game.

So, without further ado, here’s the tier list the rest of this article is going to be based on. And, yes, I know there are more girls I could have added. I don’t care.

A tier list of which Monogatari girls I could beat in a fistfight
A tier list of which Monogatari girls I could beat in a fistfight

Girls I Would Definitely Beat

The first girl I could definitely beat in a fistfight is Tsubasa Hanekawa (child). I’m 100% certain that I could beat a literal child in a fight. There’s nothing special about her, she’s just a kid and I’m going to break her glasses.

Next up, we have Tsubasa Hanekawa (sugoi dekai). Even as a high schooler, I’m convinced I could beat Hanekawa in a fight. Sure, she has some extra padding. But, I’m not throwing punches at her chest. So, those are only going to slow her down.

Shinobu Oshino is the first girl I think I could beat that you might not agree with. But, hear me out. This is her weakest form. Yes, she defeated Koyomi with her signature Vampire Punch. However, that took him by surprise. Most of the time, he’s able to manhandle her. I can too.

Sodachi Oikura after I OHKO her from the Owarimonogatari anime series
Sodachi Oikura after I OHKO her

Mayoi Hachikuji? No problem. Again, we see Koyomi tossing her around like it’s no big deal all the time. And, he’s not even actually trying to beat her in a fight. Since I am trying, there’s no way I’d lose to her. She can scratch, bite, and kick all she wants, but I’m winning.

Nadeko Sengoku was another easy pick for this category. Okay, so we saw her smash some lockers when she went into a rage. But, I’m still confident I can beat her in both a fistfight and a game of Twister. I just need to use psychological warfare by mentioning her forehead.

Finally, there’s Sodachi Oikura. After child Hanekawa, Sodachi is the one I’m most confident about beating. Hitagi laid her out with a single punch. And if I get my hands on those twin tails, she won’t be able to get away. That’s an easy victory for me.

Girls I Would Take My Chances Against

The first girl I think I’d have a pretty decent matchup against is Tsukihi Araragi. If weapons were allowed, she’d stab me and that’d be it. But, without weapons, I’m pretty sure I could beat her. She’d fight dirty, though. That’s for sure.

Ougi Oshino is in this category because she’s a wildcard. I’m unsure about what her skill level would actually be in a fight. At face value, I could take her. But, since this is Ougi we’re talking about, she could have a trick up her extra-long sleeves.

Nadeko Sengoku (Medusa) is another one I’m wary about. Normal Nadeko is an easy win. But, this version of Nadeko is a god. Still considering it’s a fistfight, I’m feeling somewhat confident. She did kill Araragi. But, I don’t remember how she did that, so surely she won’t do that to me.

Hitagi Senjougahara threatening to stab me in the eye with a pencil from the Nisemonogatari anime series
Hitagi Senjougahara threatening to stab me in the eye with a pencil

As with Tsukihi, Hitagi Senjougahara is one I think I could beat with the ban on weapons. I don’t have to worry about box cutters to the gut, staplers to the mouth, or pencils to the eyes. However, this feels like it could be a pretty even fight.

What Mayoi Hachikuji (adult)? I still feel like I can beat Hachikuji even as an adult. But, there’s one thing giving me pause. She tossed around Koyomi like a ragdoll. As long as I can prevent her from grabbing me, I should be okay.

Remember Rouka Numachi from Hanamonogatari? Of course you do. Of all the girls in this category, she has the best chance of beating me (assuming Nadeko doesn’t kill me). Why? Because she’s an athlete. She’s in shape. I do some exercise, but I wouldn’t consider myself an athlete by any means.

Girls I Would Definitely Lose To

Alright, let’s talk about the girls I would 100% lose to. Three of them are monsters, so I think I should get a pass on those. But, the other two aren’t. And, it’s actually one of those other two whom I’d be most worried about fighting.

To start off, we have Black Hanekawa. Let’s be honest, she could rip me limb from limb if she wanted to. Yes, I said I could beat Shinobu, who we saw beat Black Hanekawa. But, this is like a rock-paper-scissors scenario. I beat Shinobu, Shinobu beats Black Hanekawa, and Black Hanekawa beats me.

Kiss-Shot Acerola-Orion Heart-Under-Blade. Need I say more? This fight wouldn’t even last a second. There would be nothing left of me other than some red mist. The only good thing about this fight is that I wouldn’t have to suffer.

Karen Araragi punching me in the face from the Nisemonogatari anime series
Karen Araragi punching me in the face

Yotsugi Ononoki is one I almost put in the “Definitely Could Win” category. However, I then remembered that she’s extremely strong. One punch from her would send me flying through cement walls. So, no, I don’t think I could beat Yotsugi in a fistfight. She wouldn’t even need her whole fist — only a finger.

Could I beat Suruga Kanbaru in a fight? No way. With Rouka, I’d have a tough time but might be able to win. Kanbaru is even more athletic. And, to make matters worse, she has the Rainy Devil. I saw how that fight went for Araragi and I want no part of it.

Karen Araragi is the final girl I definitely couldn’t beat. She practices karate and has real fighting experience. Also, she’s the one girl in this category who couldn’t kill me in one shot. So, that means I’d have to suffer through getting pummeled to a pulp.

Final Thoughts

So, there you have it. Of the 17 Monogatari Series girls I selected, I could definitely beat 6 of them in a fistfight. I also feel like I’d have a pretty decent time going up against 6 others. And, even I have to admit that the final 5 would destroy me.

But, how many of these girls do you think you could beat? Are you more confident than I am? Do you think I’d definitely lose to some of the girls I put in the first two categories? And, who would you most and least want to fight? Let me know.

That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 3 Episode 50 Review

That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 3 Episode 50 Review

The Three Vampire Demon Lords

That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 3 Episode 50 was a pretty confusing episode, for me. As someone who watches quite a bit of anime, I often forget what happened in previous seasons. In this episode, that may have been an issue.

There was a lot of information dumped on us in Episode 50. And, I’m not sure if this is the first time we’ve learned a significant amount of it. If it was the first time, this info dump wasn’t structured very well. If it wasn’t the first time, then I forgot a lot.

Now, at the very least, I remembered that Roy Valentine wasn’t a real Demon Lord. I knew that Luminous Valentine was the Demon Lord and that Roy was one of her underlings who pretends to be a Demon Lord in public. I don’t think I knew that Roy had a twin brother.

Roy and Louis Valentine from the anime series That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 3 Episode 50
Roy and Louis Valentine

Is that new information? It’s not exactly a big deal if it is. But, it would mean that Luminous Valentine has multiple Demon Lord-level underlings. As was reiterated in this episode, Roy may not have been a real Demon Lord. However, he was strong enough to be considered one.

Since Roy and Louis are twins, I’m going to go out on a limb and assume Louis is just as strong. And then, there’s Hinata. She was strong enough to defeat both Roy and Louis at the same time. So, I guess that means she’s Demon Lord-level, as well.

Something I kind of remember from Season 2 is that Laplace killed Roy. I don’t think that was new. I also have a feeling that we already knew the other guy who was reincarnated from Rimuru’s old world was a villain. Though, I remember nothing about that.

Holy Empire Lubelius

Episode 50 also gave us some good information about the Holy Empire Lubelius itself. How is it that there’s a Holy Empire led by vampires? That doesn’t make much sense, right? Surely, the vampires are tricking the citizens and using them for some evil scheme. That’s what Hinata thought, too.

Well, it turns out that’s not actually the case. After meeting Luminous Valentine, Hinata was convinced otherwise. The Holy Empire Lubelius is actually one of the most well-off nations. And, it’s due to a symbiotic relationship between vampires and humans.

According to Hinata, the vampires only take a small amount of blood from the citizens. So, it’s not that bad. But, the citizens also get a lot of benefits in return. The happier the human, the tastier their blood. This gives the vampires an incentive to make the humans’ lives better.

Demon Lord Luminous Valentine healing Hinata from the anime series That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 3 Episode 50
Demon Lord Luminous Valentine healing Hinata

Now, would the humans go along with this relationship if they knew the truth? Would they willingly give up their blood to a vampire Demon Lord? I’m not so sure about that. And, that’s why Luminous relies on the facade of the church. Humans are willing to do anything for a god.

Hinata is an example of a human who’s accepted her vampire overlord. Sure, at first, she intended to slay the vampire that was pretending to be a god. But, after learning more about how Luminous’s leadership benefits humans, she supported it.

This is proof that the citizens of the Holy Empire could come to accept vampires. However, that still seems unlikely. That would go against the teachings of the Church that Luminous built up. Would her subjects throw their faith away so easily? And, it’s not as if she could have built her empire without the Church, in the first place.

Another Nation Recognizes Tempest

At the end of Episode 50, we saw the Kingdom of Falmuth and Tempest sign a peace treaty. This treaty put an end to the war between the two nations and included the terms of the king’s abdication.

But, that’s not all it did. The most important thing to come out of the treaty was Falmuth’s formal recognition of Tempest. I don’t remember every nation that’s recognized Tempest. But, there are definitely a few, including Blumund, a small nation on Tempest’s border.

I’m pretty sure that Carrion’s, Freya’s, and Milim’s countries also recognize Tempest. They’re all allies of Rimuru, so that would make sense. And, if I’m not mistaken, Dwargon also recognizes Tempest. It would be weird if they don’t considering Dwargo is Rimuru’s ally and Dwargon has a relationship with Tempest.

The King of Falmuth and Diablo signing a a treaty from the anime series That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 3 Episode 50
The King of Falmuth and Diablo signing a a treaty

Every nation that recognizes Tempest makes Tempest stronger on the world stage. They help legitimize Tempest as a country. And, they show other countries that Tempest has allies. All of this together makes Tempest a more powerful, prosperous, and peaceful nation. And, that’s exactly what Rimuru wants. He doesn’t want to have to fight wars and struggle to survive.

Based on the stuff with Luminous Valentine in this episode, it looks like Lubelius might be next. Luminous got to see what Rimuru was all about during the Demon Lord meeting. And, what she might have seen in him is a path forward for her own country.

If Rimuru can build a nation where humans and monsters can live side-by-side, why can’t she? Again, she kind of shot herself in the foot by building a religion that demonizes monsters. But, perhaps Tempest can help change the Lubelius citizens’ minds about monsters. Then, they could accept Luminous as their leader.

Final Thoughts

What do you think about Tensura Season 3 Episode 50? Did you remember a lot of the information we got in this episode from the previous seasons? Do you think it’s too late for the Holy Empire Lubelius to change? And, which nation do you expect to recognize Tempest next?
